Former Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has shared his thoughts on the club’s hopes for the upcoming Premier League season. Speaking on the Planet Premier League podcast, Fabregas expressed confidence in Arsenal’s ability to challenge for the title and predicted his top four teams for the season.

Fabregas believes that Arsenal, under the management of Mikel Arteta, are in a strong position to end Manchester City’s dominance in the Premier League. He highlighted the continuous growth and improvement of the team, describing them as “a young team, full of hunger” that keeps getting better each year. Fabregas noted that while Manchester City has been incredibly successful, winning the treble and four consecutive Premier League titles, he sees them either maintaining their current level or potentially declining, which could open the door for Arsenal to seize the title.

When asked to predict the top four teams for the season, Fabregas placed Arsenal at the top, followed by Manchester City, Liverpool, and Chelsea. He expressed optimism about Arsenal’s chances, stating that this could be the year they finally win the Premier League after a 20-year wait. Fabregas also mentioned that Chelsea, under new management, could make significant progress and secure a top-four finish.

Fabregas also commented on Emile Smith Rowe’s move from Arsenal to Fulham. While saddened by the move, he expressed confidence that Smith Rowe would thrive at Fulham and eventually return to top-level football.

Fabregas’s insights reflect a hopeful outlook for Arsenal fans, with the former captain believing that the club is on the verge of a significant breakthrough in the Premier League.
