Bundesliga giant Set to Demand a Staggering £86m for Arsenal Target

Man United, Chelsea among Premier League clubs rumoured to be interested in signing a Bundesliga forward. RB Leigzig expected to demand a hefty transfer fee prior to his potential departure.

Bundesliga giant RB Leipzig is reportedly preparing to demand a staggering £86 million transfer fee for their star striker, Benjamin Sesko, during the upcoming summer transfer window. The 21-year-old Slovenian forward has been a standout performer in the Bundesliga, attracting interest from Premier League giants Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal.

At just 21 years old, Sesko’s meteoric rise has seen him cement his place as one of the most promising forwards in Europe. Since joining Leipzig from Red Bull Salzburg in 2023, the Slovenian forward has blazed a trail in the Bundesliga, scoring 37 goals in 82 league appearances and four goals in eight Champions League appearances this season. His towering 6ft 5in frame, coupled with his clinical finishing, makes him not only a formidable presence on the pitch but also an attractive prospect for clubs seeking to bolster their attacking prowess.

Despite previous reports of a gentleman’s agreement between Sesko and Leipzig requiring his departure for around €70 million (£60 million), Bild now reports that the Bundesliga club intends to request a transfer fee of nearly €100 million (£86m).

Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal have all been closely monitoring Sesko’s progress. Manchester United’s sporting director was even seen scouting him during a match against Wolfsburg, indicating the level of interest in the Slovenian striker. While these clubs have expressed their admiration for his abilities, the hefty fee set by Leipzig suggests that any potential move will require a significant financial commitment—a statement of intent from the German outfit, underscoring their confidence in Sesko’s future value.

The increase in valuation from a previously estimated fee of around £60 million to an anticipated £86 million demonstrates RB Leipzig’s belief that Sesko has the potential to be a marquee talent. With competition heating up from not only the Premier League elite but also clubs from other top European leagues, the battle for his signature is set to intensify as the summer window looms.
