Saka Joins the Celebration from the Sidelines

Although sidelined with a hamstring injury since December, Bukayo Saka didn’t miss a moment of the action. The Arsenal winger took to Instagram to share his excitement, posting the iconic popcorn meme from Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” video—perfectly capturing the drama and delight of the night.

Later, Saka added a heartfelt message:

“Watching the boys tonight was something special. Can’t wait to be back out there with them.”

The match itself was a showcase of attacking brilliance. Jurrien Timber opened the scoring with a towering header, followed by goals from Ethan Nwaneri, Mikel Merino, and Martin Odegaard—who bagged a brace. Leandro Trossard and Riccardo Calafiori also found the net, while PSV’s lone goal came from a Noah Lang penalty.

Arteta Praises Young Guns

Manager Mikel Arteta praised his squad’s performance, especially the contributions from young stars like Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly.

“To be doing what they are doing at 17 and 18 years old shows incredible maturity. They have a lot of courage and are supported by the entire team,” Arteta said post-match.

With this emphatic win, Arsenal has all but booked their place in the Champions League quarter-finals, where they’ll face either Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid. The return of key players like Saka will only strengthen their chances of going even deeper in the tournament.
