Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka is expected to be sidelined until at least March after undergoing hamstring surgery last month following a 5-1 win at Crystal Palace.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has offered words of encouragement to Bukayo Saka, urging the young winger to use his recent injury lay-off as an opportunity to return “a better person.” Saka, who underwent surgery for a hamstring injury in December, is expected to be out of action until at least March.
Arteta, speaking to the media, emphasized the importance of personal growth during challenging times. “It’s not just about coming back stronger physically, but also mentally and emotionally,” Arteta said. “Bukayo has shown incredible resilience so far, and I believe this experience will only make him a better player and person.”
Saka, who has been a key player for Arsenal this season with nine goals and 13 assists in 24 games, is known for his determination and positive attitude. The Arsenal manager’s support highlights the club’s commitment to nurturing their young talents and helping them overcome obstacles.
Arteta also praised the team’s collective effort in Saka’s absence, noting that it has been a valuable learning experience for everyone. “We’ve had to adapt and find new ways to win without Bukayo,” Arteta added. “This has brought out the best in our squad, and I’m confident that when Bukayo returns, he’ll be stronger and more motivated than ever.”
