Bukayo Saka is expected to be out of action for an additional eight weeks, exacerbating Arsenal’s injury crisis.
Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka is set to miss another eight weeks of action as he continues his recovery from a severe hamstring injury sustained in December according to The Sun. The England winger has not experienced any setbacks and is on track to return within the anticipated timeframe since the injury occurred.
The 23-year-old forward, who has been a key player for Arsenal this season, suffered the injury during a match against Crystal Palace on December 21. He underwent surgery on December 29, and the initial recovery period was estimated to be between 10 and 12 weeks.

However, due to the serious nature of his hamstring tear, a precise return date for the Gunners’ key player remains uncertain.
Despite making progress in his recovery, Saka is now expected to be out of action until mid-April. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta confirmed that the club will not rush Saka back into action, prioritizing his long-term fitness. This extended absence comes at a challenging time for Arsenal, as they are already dealing with other key players sidelined due to injuries, including Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz.
He joined his teammates at their winter training camp in Dubai ahead of this weekend’s visit to Leicester, where he has accelerated his schedule in preparation for his anticipated return.
Saka’s absence will undoubtedly be felt by the team, as he has scored nine goals and provided 13 assists in 24 appearances across competitions this season. The Gunners will need to find alternative solutions to maintain their attacking threat without him.
