Brendan Rodgers has responded to growing speculation about Kieran Tierney’s potential return to Celtic, and he has looked into the possibility of the club making signings in January.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has addressed the mounting speculation regarding a potential return for Kieran Tierney to the club. Speaking to Sky Sports, Rodgers refused to rule out the possibility of re-signing the Scotland international, who is currently at Arsenal.

Rodgers, who previously worked with Tierney during his first spell at Celtic, acknowledged the player’s significant contributions to the club. “Kieran is someone I know really well, but there’ll be lots of players that are linked with coming to Celtic,” Rodgers said. “We have work to do; we want to improve the squad further in a number of key areas.”

Tierney, who came through the Celtic academy and won 11 trophies during his time at the club, has been linked with a return after Arsenal decided not to extend his contract. The 27-year-old is set to become a free agent next summer, and Celtic fans are hopeful of seeing him back at Parkhead.

While Rodgers did not confirm any imminent move, he emphasized the club’s commitment to strengthening the squad in January. “We will never speak about a player, especially a young player that’s at another club,” he added. “But we’ve got work to do, and we know that we want to improve the squad further.”
