Arteta praises new signings after Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Forest, highlighting their chemistry, creativity, and tactical impact.
Mikel Arteta praises new signings after Arsenal crushed Nottingham Forest 3-0 in a dominant performance. The manager celebrated the immediate impact of the club’s summer recruits, who led the team to victory with energy, precision, and creativity.
Midfielder Martín Zubimendi was one of the standout performers, scoring two goals—including a spectacular volley to open the scoring. His performance added both composure and attacking threat to Arsenal’s midfield.
“Martin is bringing such a presence, composure and understanding of the game that makes the team flow and play better,” said Arteta. “And on top of that, he’s adding goals and assists.”
Gyökeres and Eze Combine for Arsenal’s Third
Striker Viktor Gyökeres continued his scoring streak, netting Arsenal’s third goal with an assist from Eberechi Eze, another summer signing. Their chemistry on the pitch is already showing promise.
With Bukayo Saka sidelined due to injury, Noni Madueke stepped in and delivered a dynamic performance. His pace and creativity added a new dimension to Arsenal’s attack.
“He has such power, such a capacity to repeat efforts… He’s very skilful, very unpredictable, so willing to learn,” Arteta said. “He brings joy. He gets one wrong, he goes again. That’s what I love about creative players.”

Mosquera Anchors the Defense
Defender Cristhian Mosquera showed maturity and composure at the back, helping Arsenal maintain a clean sheet. Arteta praised his performance, especially after his strong showing against Liverpool.
“Mosquera is a great example. What he did against Liverpool, being thrown out there after three minutes at Anfield in your first exposure in the Premier League, is very difficult to do.”
Despite limited preparation time after international duty, Arsenal’s squad displayed impressive cohesion. Arteta emphasized the importance of building new relationships among players.
“It’s always uncertain how we’re going to connect, especially with only one day to prepare,” he said. “But we were dominant throughout the game. The new relationships are developing well.”
With strong performances from all five new signings, Arsenal’s squad depth and tactical flexibility are improving. Arteta’s praise reflects growing optimism around the club’s direction this season.
