William Saliba’s availability for Saturday’s Premier League match against Aston Villa appears to be uncertain due to an injury.
William Saliba is a major doubt for Arsenal’s upcoming Premier League match against Aston Villa on Saturday, following a suspected hamstring injury sustained in the closing stages of Arsenal’s 2-1 victory over Tottenham on Wednesday night. The French defender was notably absent from Arsenal’s training session on Friday, raising concerns about his availability for the crucial fixture.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta provided an update on Saliba’s condition, stating, “We have a few decisions to make this afternoon with the medical staff to understand whether they are in the best condition for this game or the next one, so we’ll decide that.” With Saliba’s participation in doubt, Jakub Kiwior is likely to deputize alongside Gabriel if Saliba is ruled out.
The Gunners are already dealing with defensive injuries, as Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu are both sidelined, and Riccardo Calafiori is not expected to return anytime soon. This further complicates Arsenal’s defensive lineup for the match against Villa, who are currently in contention for a top-four finish.
