Mikel Arteta has revealed that Bukayo Saka sustained a hamstring injury in Arsenal’s 5-1 victory over Crystal Palace, and the club is concerned about the forward.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta expressed concern over Bukayo Saka’s injury following the Gunners’ dominant 5-1 victory over Crystal Palace. Saka, who was forced off in the 24th minute due to a hamstring issue, was seen leaving Selhurst Park on crutches.
Arteta, speaking to Sky Sports after the match, admitted, “He felt something in his hamstring, he couldn’t continue, and we’re pretty worried about that one”. The severity of the injury is yet to be determined, and Saka will undergo further assessment.
Despite the setback, Arsenal delivered an impressive performance, with Gabriel Jesus scoring twice and Kai Havertz, Gabriel Martinelli, and Declan Rice also finding the net. The win moves Arsenal within three points of Premier League leaders Liverpool.
Arteta’s main concern now is the busy fixture schedule ahead, with matches against Ipswich, Brentford, and Brighton coming up in quick succession. The absence of Saka, who has been instrumental this season with five goals and ten assists, could be a significant blow to the team’s title aspirations.

Arsenal’s resilience will be tested in the coming weeks, but Arteta is confident in the squad’s ability to adapt and continue their strong performance in the Premier League.
