According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal’s promising young right-back, Brooke Norton-Cuffy, is on the verge of completing a permanent move to Italian club Genoa. The deal, which has been approved by Arsenal, will see the Gunners receive a fixed fee of €2 million, with additional performance-related add-ons.
Brooke Norton-Cuffy, 20, has been a part of Arsenal’s youth setup and has shown considerable potential during his loan spells at various English clubs, including Lincoln City, Rotherham United, Coventry City, and Millwall. Despite his progress, breaking into Arsenal’s first team has proven challenging due to the depth of talent in the right-back position.
The agreement between Arsenal and Genoa includes a fixed fee of €2 million, with potential add-ons based on Norton-Cuffy’s performances and milestones at his new club. This move is seen as a strategic decision for both the player and Arsenal, allowing Norton-Cuffy to gain valuable first-team experience in a top European league while providing Arsenal with a financial boost.
Norton-Cuffy is scheduled to undergo medical tests later this week to finalize the transfer. Once completed, he will officially join Genoa, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his professional career.
