Arsenal face a critical transfer choice between investing in raw potential or securing a proven striker as their Arsenal transfer dilemma deepens.
Arsenal faces a transfer dilemma as they prepare for another Premier League title. Should they pursue Benjamin Šeško, a highly regarded but unproven striker from RB Leipzig, valued at £60 million, or choose a more seasoned forward?
With injury concerns and a lack of consistent goal-scoring options, Arsenal are actively targeting reinforcements. Two strikers have emerged as favorites: Benjamin Šeško and Viktor Gyökeres.
While Mikel Arteta appears keen on Šeško’s potential, former Arsenal winger Perry Groves has urged caution.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Groves explained: “At 22, you’re still learning… Arsenal don’t have the luxury to develop players slowly. They need someone who makes an immediate impact.”
Groves believes Gyökeres, who’s scored consistently across multiple leagues, offers the experience and finishing touch Arsenal desperately need.
Although Leipzig are reportedly open to offers, Šeško’s team insists they’ll only move respectfully. Meanwhile, interest in Gyökeres is heating up, meaning Arsenal may need to make a quick decision.
As the clock ticks on the summer window, Arsenal must weigh the risks of developing raw talent against the rewards of signing a striker who’s already delivering. Their choice could define their 2025–26 season—and decide whether they finally bring the Premier League trophy back to the Emirates.
