Arsenal are being urged to consider a bid for Harry Kane, with Joe Cole insisting the England captain would be ‘perfect’ for Mikel Arteta’s team.
Arsenal have been urged to consider making a controversial bid for Harry Kane, with former footballer Joe Cole insisting that the England captain would be “perfect” for Mikel Arteta’s side. Despite Kane’s strong ties to North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, where he scored 280 goals in 435 games, Cole believes that Kane could be the missing piece in Arsenal’s attack.
Kane, who moved to Bayern Munich in August 2023, has a release clause in his contract that could be activated next January, potentially making him available for a cut-price deal. Cole highlighted Kane’s goal-scoring prowess and suggested that his addition could help Arsenal compete more effectively with Liverpool and Manchester City.

Cole acknowledged the potential backlash from Spurs fans but argued that from a footballing perspective, Kane would be a perfect fit for Arsenal. “He’s gone to Germany, and he’s carried on where he left off. The man just oozes goals. For Arsenal, as a footballer, he would be the perfect last piece in the jigsaw – he suits them down to the ground.”
While the idea of Kane joining Arsenal remains contentious, Cole believes it could be a game-changer for the Gunners. “I can see the logic with Harry Kane joining Arsenal – stranger things have happened.”
