Arsenal target Leichester playmaker in a potential cut-price deal

Arsenal’s Leicester Playmaker Swoop: A Game-Changer for the Gunners?

Arsenal are reportedly keeping a close eye on Bilal El Khannouss, Leicester City’s playmaker swoop, as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the summer transfer window. With Leicester facing financial uncertainty following a difficult season, the Moroccan midfielder could be available at a reduced price.

The 20-year-old arrived at Leicester from Genk last summer and has shown flashes of brilliance despite the club’s struggles. His technical ability and vision make him an exciting prospect, and Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is said to be keen on adding him to his midfield options.

Leicester City, who were promoted to the Championship only a year ago, has been relegated. If they drop out of the Premier League, they may be forced to sell key players to balance their finances. El Khannouss, who was signed for €20.5 million, could be available for a lower fee if Leicester need to offload assets.

According to The Sun, Arsenal are reportedly leading the race to sign El Khannouss, but they are not alone. RB Leipzig and Lazio are also monitoring the situation, while Liverpool have shown interest as well. The competition could drive up his price, but Arsenal’s financial strength and Arteta’s vision for the squad might give them an advantage.

Reports suggest that Arsenal are willing to offer £30 million for El Khannouss, believing that he could develop into a key player for the club. Leicester, however, may demand a higher fee, with some sources indicating they could seek £40 million to part ways with their prized asset.
