Arsenal suffered their second consecutive weekend without a win following a goalless draw against Everton, with one player expressing his frustration.
Arsenal’s 0-0 draw with Everton at the Emirates Stadium left Kai Havertz visibly frustrated with his teammates. The German forward didn’t hold back in expressing his disappointment, pointing out the team’s inability to convert their dominance into a win.
Havertz acknowledged Arsenal’s control over the game but lamented their failure to score. “It’s very frustrating,” he remarked. “We controlled the game well and didn’t allow them any chances, but we didn’t manage to score. That’s frustrating because we wanted to win.”
Highlighting key issues, Havertz mentioned the missed crucial details, such as the final pass and positioning in the box. Despite the setback, he stressed the importance of unity and staying positive as they prepare for upcoming fixtures.
In agreement with Havertz, manager Mikel Arteta praised the team’s defensive discipline but acknowledged his frustration at their failure to win all three points. “We did everything necessary overall apart from scoring a goal,” Arteta noted.
The draw keeps Arsenal in third place, six points behind leaders Liverpool. The Gunners will need to regroup and find their scoring touch if they hope to challenge for the Premier League title.
