Despite Partey’s resurgence in form this season, Arsenal has not shown urgency in securing a new deal, according to the Daily Mail. The club had planned to discuss terms with Partey shortly, but no significant progress has been made. This lack of movement means that Partey could agree a pre-contract with overseas clubs from January 1, 2025.
Several clubs, including those in the Saudi Pro League and Serie A, have expressed interest in signing Partey. His consistent performances and versatility, having played both as a midfielder and a makeshift right-back, make him an attractive prospect for many teams.
Should Partey leave, Arsenal is reportedly considering AC Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders as a potential replacement. Reijnders’ energy and ability to cover ground could provide the necessary boost to Arsenal’s midfield.
Mikel Arteta has praised Partey’s consistency and physical condition, but the club’s hesitation to commit to a long-term deal suggests concerns about his age and injury history.
