RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko has been linked with a transfer to Premier League club Arsenal.
Arsenal remains keen on RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, with journalist Ben Jacobs revealing that the North London club is confident that the player would prefer a move to the Emirates. Despite Sesko’s recent contract extension with Leipzig, which includes a release clause for the summer of 2025, Arsenal is optimistic about securing his signature.
Sesko, who has been in impressive form this season with 11 goals and 3 assists in 23 appearances, is seen as a potential solution to Arsenal’s striker woes. The 21-year-old Slovenian international has caught the eye of several top clubs, but Jacobs believes that Arsenal’s strong relationship with Sesko and his entourage could give them an edge in the race for his signature.
“Benjamin Sesko is a player Arsenal has been tracking for some time now,” Jacobs told GIVEMESPORT. “Despite his recent contract extension, there’s a belief within the club that he would prefer a move to Arsenal. The Gunners are still keeping tabs on him and remain confident that they can secure a deal next summer.”
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has been vocal about the need for a clinical striker, and Sesko fits the bill perfectly. With Gabriel Jesus entering the twilight of his career and Kai Havertz struggling to find consistency, Sesko could be the missing piece in Arsenal’s title challenge.
