Nottingham Forest have made a significant move for Arsenal’s striker Eddie Nketiah. The East Midlands club reportedly made an initial proposal of £25 million, including add-ons, according to The Athletics, but Arsenal swiftly rejected it. However, the negotiations are far from over, as both clubs continue to engage in talks to try and reach an agreement.

Arsenal, who value Nketiah between £30-£35 million, are holding firm on their asking price. The Gunners see Nketiah as a valuable asset, despite his limited playing time last season. With the likes of Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus ahead of him in the pecking order, Nketiah’s opportunities at the Emirates have been limited. Nevertheless, Arsenal is keen to ensure they receive a fair price for their academy graduate, who still has three years left on his contract.

Nottingham Forest are determined to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season. The club has identified Nketiah as a key target to enhance their attacking line.

While the initial bid was turned down, Forest remains in talks with both Arsenal and Nketiah’s representatives. The club is hopeful that a compromise can be reached, allowing them to secure the services of the 25-year-old striker.

Nketiah, who is eager for regular first-team football, is open to the move, which could provide him with the opportunity to reignite his career and showcase his talents consistently. Crystal Palace also retains a long-standing admiration and has spoken to Arsenal, although currently, Forest has moved ahead of them.
