Mikel Arteta oversaw the session in London Colney on Tuesday morning as Arsenal prepared for the first leg of their round-of-16 tie at the BayArena.

The return of the trio comes at a crucial moment in the season as the Gunners push for success in both domestic and European competitions.

Saliba looks ready to return to action after missing Arsenal’s last two matches.

The French defender suffered an ankle injury during Arsenal’s Premier League victory over Chelsea, which ruled him out of the draw with Brighton and the FA Cup win against Mansfield Town.

However, Saliba completed the full training session and is expected to feature in Wednesday’s Champions League encounter.

His return is a significant boost for Arteta, with the centre-back forming a crucial part of Arsenal’s defensive stability this season.

Trossard and Calafiori Recover from Injury in Time, Giving Arsenal a Massive Boost for Leverkusen Trip.

Trossard and Calafiori have also recovered after both players were forced off during Arsenal’s 2-1 FA Cup win over Mansfield Town.

Arteta previously described their issues as minor “niggles,” and both players appeared comfortable during the open training session.

Trossard had been substituted late in the first half against Mansfield, while Calafiori left the pitch during the closing stages.

Their availability provides important attacking and defensive depth ahead of a demanding European fixture.

Arsenal Still Monitoring Key Absences

Despite the positive news, several Arsenal players remain doubts for the trip to Germany.

Captain Martin Ødegaard continues to manage a knee problem, while defender Ben White has been dealing with an unspecified knock.

Neither player appeared in Tuesday’s session, meaning Arteta could make late decisions regarding their availability.

Midfielder Mikel Merino stays unavailable after undergoing foot surgery last month and will not return until later in the campaign.

Additional Squad Boost for Arteta

Arsenal also welcomed further positive news earlier in the week.

Declan Rice, Gabriel Magalhães, and Martin Zubimendi rested during the FA Cup win against Mansfield because of minor fitness concerns but have since returned to training.

Goalkeeper David Raya also rejoined contention after taking time to recover.

Meanwhile, academy prospects Max Dowman and Marli Salmon trained with the first team and could join the travelling squad.

The injury boost gives Arsenal a stronger squad as they prepare to face Bayer Leverkusen in Germany.

The Bundesliga side have struggled for consistency in recent weeks, and several key players could miss the match.

With Saliba, Trossard and Calafiori potentially returning alongside Rice, Gabriel and Zubimendi, Arteta now has the option to field a near full-strength team.

A positive result in the first leg would put Arsenal in a strong position before the return fixture at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal Eye Champions League Quarter-Finals

Arsenal head into the tie with confidence after an impressive Champions League campaign so far.

The Gunners finished top of the league phase standings and have been among the most consistent teams in the competition.

Arteta’s side now aim to reach the Champions League quarter-finals for the first time since the 2009/10 season.

With several key players returning at the perfect moment, Arsenal supporters will believe their team has a strong chance of taking control of the tie in Germany.
