Ademola Lookman has been a standout performer for Atalanta, contributing significantly to their successful Europa League campaign. The 26-year-old winger scored 11 goals and provided seven assists in 31 league appearances, including a hat-trick in the Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen. His versatility, capable of playing as a left winger, central striker, or attacking midfielder, makes him an attractive prospect for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal is not the only club interested in Lookman. Liverpool has also expressed interest, with new head coach Arne Slot eyeing him as a potential signing. However, Arsenal appears determined to win the race for Lookman’s signature, with the player’s potential return to the Premier League being an enticing prospect for the North London club.

Pedulla added that Lookman didn’t show up for training on Wednesday, having also missed Atalanta’s last match on Monday, though he did return to training on Thursday.

It’s unclear whether the absence was related to a potential transfer.
