Arsenal are tipped to cash in on three players no longer in Mikel Arteta’s plans over the next few months.
Arsenal are reportedly considering selling three first-team stars in the upcoming January transfer window to raise funds for reinvestment into Mikel Artetaβs squad. The Gunners have been left off the pace in the Premier League title race and are looking to strengthen their attacking options.
Speaking to Football Insider,Β the former Manchester United and Tottenham scout Mick Brown, who has extensive connections in the football world, shared insights regarding potential changes in the team composition. He mentioned that Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, and Kieran Tierney might be considered for departure.
These players once considered key signings, are now seen as surplus to requirements under Arteta’s plans. Selling them could provide a significant financial boost and help Arsenal bring in new talent to bolster their squad.
βThere are three players at the club theyβd be looking to sell,β he toldΒ Football Insider.
βAnd thatβs Gabriel Jesus, Zinchenko, and Kieran Tierney. Theyβre not in the managerβs plans. βWhen it comes to sales, you have to look at who your assets are. βWe know thereβs been interest in Saliba, for example, but I think heβs one of the last players theyβd ever consider selling for any sort of money.
βIf they feel they need to raise money, theyβve got these players who theyβre far more likely to turn to. βThatβll take a big chunk off of the wage bill and help them to reinvest in strengthening their squad.

βSometimes the way it works is youβve got to let some fringe players leave, raise a bit of money from them, and then refresh the squad with new backup options. βIt seems counterproductive, but it helps to keep the squad fresh and provide new options
βEspecially if you donβt think theyβre good enough to play a role any more, or if youβve got better options in their positions. βSo first are foremost, these are the players I expect theyβll cash in on.β
