Arsenal has reportedly made an offer for Ajax 18 year old goalkeeper Tommy Setford, per Mike Verweij.

The North London club offered €400,000 plus bonuses for the English shot stopper. Setford’s current contract at Ajax runs until 2025.

He made 15 appearances for Ajax’s U18s last season, keeping six clean sheets, and has now caught Arsenal’s attention.

The negotiations between the clubs are ongoing, but Ajax believes Setford has the potential to eventually break into their first team. However, Setford is reportedly keen on a move back to his home country

Both teams will go on negotiating in the upcoming days, with Ajax attempting to demand a larger sum while making a last-ditch effort to persuade Setford to sign a new long term deal.
