Arsenal are said to be keeping a close eye on Wolves star Matheus Cunha ahead of the January transfer window.
Arsenal are reportedly keeping a close eye on Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Brazilian forward Matheus Cunha as the January transfer window approaches. According to reports The Athletics, the Gunners have been long-term admirers of the 25-year-old, who has been in fine form this season.
Cunha has netted nine goals and provided three assists in 17 Premier League games this term. His impressive performances have caught the attention of Arsenal’s management, with Mikel Arteta believed to be a big fan of the player.
Despite the interest, a deal in January seems unlikely. Wolves, currently embroiled in a relegation battle, are reluctant to part ways with such a crucial player mid-season. It is more probable that Arsenal will wait until the summer to make a move, especially if Wolves are relegated to the Championship.

Cunha joined Wolves in January 2023 on a loan deal from Atletico Madrid, which later became a permanent transfer for around £45 million. He is under contract until the summer of 2027 and has played 74 games for Wolves, scoring 25 goals and providing 12 assists.
The Brazilian international, who has earned 11 caps for his national team, is known for his versatility, having played as an attacking midfielder, second striker, centre-forward, right winger, and left winger.
Arsenal’s interest in Cunha highlights their ambition to strengthen their attacking options and maintain their competitive edge in the Premier League. However, with PSG also reportedly interested in the player, it remains to be seen where Cunha will end up.
