Germany Confirm Midfielder’s Absence Ahead of Arsenal vs Liverpool Clash

Kai Havertz Injury

Arsenal Kai Havertz has been ruled out of Germany squad due to a knee injury, raising concerns about his availability for upcoming fixtures.

Arsenal have been dealt a major setback ahead of their highly anticipated Premier League showdown with Liverpool at Anfield. Report from Germany outlet Bild confirm Kai Havertz injury ahead of Arsenal vs Liverpool, casting doubt over his availability for key Premier League clash.

Havertz picked up the injury during Arsenal’s recent win over Manchester United. Although he finished the match, medical scans later revealed cartilage damage and loose fragments in his knee joint. Germany’s national team director, Rudi Völler, confirmed that Havertz will miss their upcoming international fixtures.

“He certainly won’t make it,” Völler told reporters. “We don’t know exactly how it will go in the coming weeks, whether surgery is upcoming or it will be treated conservatively.”

Mikel Arteta Reacts to Havertz Injury

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta expressed concern over Havertz’s condition during a press conference. He admitted that the club is still waiting for further test results to determine the best course of action.

“He’s got an injury, we don’t really know the extent of it,” Arteta said. “He cannot play tomorrow. I would love to have him fresh and available… Unfortunately that’s not going to be possible.”

Arteta also praised Havertz’s resilience, noting his strong recovery from previous injuries and his dedication to the team.

Arsenal’s Growing Injury List

Havertz isn’t the only player sidelined. Arsenal are also sweating over the fitness of Bukayo Saka (hamstring), Martin Ødegaard (shoulder), and Gabriel Jesus. Ben White remains unavailable, adding to the club’s defensive concerns.

With Havertz out, Arsenal may turn to new signing Viktor Gyökeres to lead the line. Eberechi Eze, recently signed from Crystal Palace, could also play a key role in midfield. The tactical reshuffle will be crucial as Arsenal look to maintain their strong start to the season.

The next few days will be critical in determining Havertz’s recovery plan. Whether he undergoes surgery or opts for conservative treatment, Arsenal fans will be hoping for a swift return—especially with key fixtures on the horizon.
