Arsenal, along with several other Premier League clubs, are reportedly keeping a close eye on Alphonso Davies’ situation at Bayern Munich. The Canadian international’s contract at Bayern is set to expire in June 2025, and negotiations for an extension have hit a roadblock.

The Canada international would undoubtedly be a highly appealing option for numerous prominent clubs if he becomes a free agent, with Liverpool his most likely destination if he is to join the Premier League, according to The Athletic.

Arsenal, Manchester United, and Chelsea are among the clubs monitoring Davies’ situation. The 24-year-old left-back has garnered significant interest due to his exceptional speed, energy, and attacking prowess. His potential availability on a free transfer next summer has sparked a bidding war among top European clubs.

Davies’ skill set makes him an ideal fit for teams that emphasize wide play and wing-back roles. While Arsenal already has options like Riccardo Calafiori and Oleksandr Zinchenko, Davies’ addition could provide depth and competition in the squad[m. His extraordinary pace would also make him Arsenal’s fastest player, surpassing even Ben White and Gabriel Martinelli.

Real Madrid and Barcelona are also keen admirers of Davies, with Real Madrid being considered the most likely destination. However, Arsenal’s interest in the Canadian star signals their ambition to strengthen their squad and potentially adjust their tactical setup under manager Mikel Arteta.
