Arsenal and Liverpool are reportedly considering a move for Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike as they look to bolster their attacking options for the upcoming season, according to Foot Mercato. Ekitike’s journey to Frankfurt began with a loan move from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in January 2024, which was made permanent in the summer. His impressive performances have caught the eye of several Premier League clubs, with Arsenal and Liverpool leading the charge.

Arsenal is keen to strengthen their attacking lineup after injuries to key forwards like Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz. Manager Mikel Arteta has been vocal about the need to bring in reinforcements, and Ekitike fits the profile of a player who can make a significant impact.

Liverpool, on the other hand, is looking to add depth to their forward options as they aim to compete on multiple fronts next season. Manager Arne Slot sees Ekitike as a potential solution to their attacking woes and is reportedly keen on securing his services.

Eintracht Frankfurt is aware of the interest in Ekitike and is likely to demand a fee in the region of €80 million (Β£66 million) for the talented forward. While Ekitike and his family are settled in Frankfurt, the club is already planning for the future and the funds they could generate by selling him.

The potential transfer of Hugo Ekitike to either Arsenal or Liverpool would be a significant move in the summer transfer window, providing a boost to the attacking options of both clubs. It remains to be seen which club will be successful in securing his signature, but one thing is certain – Ekitike’s future looks bright, and his performances will continue to attract attention from top European clubs.
