Arsenal have been told that they have a ‘massive chance’ of landing Chelsea transfer target Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund this summer.

Arsenal have been handed a “massive chance” of signing Borussia Dortmund’s rising star Jamie Gittens this summer. The 20-year-old English winger has been in sensational form this season, netting 11 goals and providing five assists. His impressive performances have caught the attention of several Premier League clubs, including Arsenal and Chelsea.

Gittens, who was previously on the books of Chelsea and Reading, is valued at around £83 million by Dortmund. The Bundesliga club is currently struggling and is unlikely to qualify for European football next season. This situation has made Gittens one of their most saleable assets.

Former Dortmund player Markus Babbel told Witte.de that Arsenal stands the best chance of securing Gittens’ signature. “Given his qualities, he’ll be wanting to play in the Champions League next year, which is why Arsenal will have a massive chance of signing him in the summer. He added that Gittens would be a brilliant addition to Mikel Arteta’s squad.

Arsenal’s interest in Gittens comes as they look to bolster their attacking options. The young winger’s dribbling ability, quick acceleration, and goal threat make him a perfect fit for Arteta’s high-intensity system. His addition would further elevate the squad, which already features talents like Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Leandro Trossard.

While Chelsea is also keen on Gittens, Babbel believes that Arsenal’s chances are higher, especially if Gittens wants to play Champions League football next season. Tottenham and Liverpool have also been linked with the winger, but Arsenal seems to be the most viable destination.
