Arsenal are considering making an approach to sign Kingsley Coman from Bayern Munich as the club seek a cover for injured Bukayo Saka.
Arsenal have reportedly identified Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman as a potential candidate to cover for the injured Bukayo Saka, according to Simon Collings of the Evening Standard. Saka, who has been a key player for Arsenal this season, suffered a hamstring injury that will keep him out for at least two months.
Bukayo Saka has been in excellent form this season, scoring five goals and providing 10 assists in 16 league games. His absence is a significant blow to Arsenal, who are challenging for the Premier League title. The French international has had a decorated career, winning multiple league titles and a Champions League trophy with Bayern Munich. Despite his reduced playing time this season, Coman has shown his ability to contribute with an average of a goal or assist every 124 minutes in the Bundesliga.
Kingsley Coman, has a wealth of experience, having played for top clubs like Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, and Bayern Munich. He has won multiple league titles and the Champions League during his career. Coman’s ability to play on either flank and his experience in big matches make him an attractive option for Arsenal.
Arsenal has shown interest in Coman before, and with his contract at Bayern Munich set to expire in the summer, the Gunners may look to secure his services on a short-term deal. However, there are financial considerations, as Coman’s wages at Bayern are substantial. Additionally, Arsenal will need to convince Coman to join the club mid-season and ensure he gets enough playing time.
While Saka’s injury is a setback, the potential signing of Kingsley Coman could provide Arsenal with a valuable addition to their squad. If Arsenal can successfully negotiate a deal, Coman could help fill the void left by Saka and contribute to the team’s title challenge.
