Johan Bakayoko, a 21-year-old winger for PSV Eindhoven, is attracting attention with his talent. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano calls him one of the best young wingers available on the market. This comes after a strong season in the Dutch Eredivisie, where he scored 12 goals and got 9 assists in 33 games.

Several clubs are interested in Bakayoko, including Liverpool whose new manager, Arne Slot, knows him well from the Netherlands. This summer could be a busy one for the young Belgian, with his price tag reportedly around £43 million.

The Gunners are among the teams interested in Bakayoko. However, they haven’t made a formal offer yet. Manager Mikel Arteta is pondering whether he needs another player on the wing with established talent like Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Leandro Trossard already in the squad. Romano suggests Arsenal is taking its time to evaluate their options.

Despite a quiet start to the transfer window, Arsenal is still anticipated to spend big this summer after narrowly missing out on the Premier League title last season. They surpassed their transfer record for Declan Rice last year and may still welcome big-money arrivals despite a slow start to the summer.

While Arsenal is interested in Bakayoko, a transfer isn’t guaranteed. They’ll weigh their needs and competition before making a move. Bakayoko, on the other hand, is likely to have several options to consider after Euro 2024.
