Arsenal’s Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly headline this year’s PFA Young Player of the Year nominees, marking a major milestone in the rise of Arsenal Rising Stars.
The Arsenal youth revolution continues to bear fruit, as two of the club’s rising stars, Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis Skelly, have been named among six nominees for the prestigious PFA Young Player of the Year award for the 2024-25 season.
At just 18, Ethan Nwaneri has already become a familiar name to Gunners fans. Since making his historic debut at 15, the attacking midfielder has steadily grown into a key figure in Mikel Arteta’s squad. This season, Nwaneri stepped up in the absence of Bukayo Saka, contributing nine goals across all competitions and showcasing his versatility by operating effectively on the right wing.

Joining him on the shortlist is fellow Hale End graduate Myles Lewis-Skelly, who has enjoyed a breakout campaign of his own. Originally a central midfielder, Lewis-Skelly was deployed as a left-back throughout the season, making 38 appearances and impressing with his tactical intelligence and composure. His performances have not only earned him a regular spot in Arsenal’s first team but also a call-up to the England senior squad under Thomas Tuchel.
The Arsenal pair are joined on the shortlist by Liam Delap (Ipswich Town/Chelsea), Dean Huijsen (Bournemouth/Real Madrid), Milos Kerkez (Bournemouth), and Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa), all of whom have had standout seasons in the Premier League.
The winner of the award will be announced at the PFA Awards ceremony later this summer. With Arsenal’s rich history of nurturing young talent Bukayo Saka having won the award in 2022–23 the club will be hopeful that one of their rising stars brings the trophy back to North London once
