Arsenal’s injury woes deepen as Gabriel Jesus force off from Manchester United match ahead of schedule.
Arsenal suffered a significant blow during their FA Cup third-round match against Manchester United as striker Gabriel Jesus was forced off the pitch with a knee injury. The Brazilian forward was hurt while attempting to tackle Bruno Fernandes in the 40th minute and had to be carried off on a stretcher.
Jesus, who has been in excellent form with six goals in his last six games, immediately signaled to the bench that he was in pain and had his jersey over his head as he was taken off the field. The severity of the injury is yet to be determined, but it is expected that Jesus will be unavailable for the upcoming Premier League North London derby against Tottenham Hotspur.
This latest injury adds to Arsenal’s growing list of absentees, with Bukayo Saka, Ethan Nwaneri, and Riccardo Calafiori already sidelined. Manager Mikel Arteta will now face the challenge of reshuffling his squad and finding a way to cope without Jesus for the crucial fixtures ahead.
