Arsenal Alexander Isak transfer chase faces major setback with PSG readying a players-plus-cash bid for the Newcastle United striker.
Arsenal transfer hopes for Alexander Isak have taken a major setback, with Paris Saint-Germain reportedly ready to submit a massive players-plus-cash offer for the Newcastle United striker.
The Gunners have been long-term admirers of Alexander Isak, but the Gunners now face stiff competition from PSG. According to reports from RMC Sport, the French champions are preparing an ambitious deal that would include three players plus a cash payment in exchange for the Swedish forward.
PSG manager Luis Enrique wants to strengthen his attacking options and has identified Isak as a prime target. The Parisians are reportedly willing to include Gonçalo Ramos, Randal Kolo Muani, and Marco Asensio in the package, alongside a significant fee, to tempt Newcastle into negotiations.
Arsenal’s Interest Faces Major Obstacle
Isak has been in outstanding form for Newcastle this season, scoring 17 Premier League goals and establishing himself as a crucial figure under Eddie Howe. Arsenal, in desperate need of attacking reinforcements, had earmarked the 25-year-old as a top target for the summer transfer window.
However, Newcastle remain firm in their stance. Isak joined the Magpies for a club-record £63 million and is under contract until 2028, making a deal difficult even without PSG’s involvement.
Arsenal May Need Alternatives
With PSG’s financial power looming large, Arsenal may need to explore alternative striking options. The Gunners have already been linked with Benjamin Šeško (RB Leipzig) and Hugo Ekitike (Frankfurt) as potential backup plans should their Isak pursuit fail.
