Arsenal are reportedly exploring the possibility of signing Real Madrid’s young playmaker Arda Güler in the upcoming January transfer window according to Fichajes.net. Club chiefs believe that this move could replicate the success of Martin Ødegaard’s transfer to north London.

Güler, a 19-year-old Turkish international, has been struggling for game time at Real Madrid under Carlo Ancelotti. Despite his talent, he has only managed to play 307 minutes across 12 games this season. Arsenal sees this as an opportunity to bring in a promising young talent who could thrive with more regular playing time.

The Gunners are hoping to replicate the success they had with Ødegaard, who joined Arsenal in 2021 after facing similar issues at Real Madrid. Since his arrival, Ødegaard has become an integral part of the team, contributing significantly to their attacking play. Arsenal believes that Güler could have a similar impact and provide a creative spark in the midfield.

The potential transfer is seen as a strategic move to strengthen Arsenal’s squad and add depth to their attacking options. With the club currently sitting fourth in the Premier League, the addition of a player like Güler could be crucial in their push for a Champions League spot.

However, negotiations with Real Madrid might not be straightforward, as the La Liga giants have a €1 billion release clause in Güler’s contract. Arsenal will need to negotiate a more affordable fee to secure his services.
