Arsenal are rumoured to be weighing up a January move for AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze to boost their attacking options following Bukayo Saka’s injury blow.
Arsenal are reportedly considering a move for Samuel Chukwueze, the 25-year-old Nigerian winger from AC Milan, as they seek to cover for the injured Bukayo Saka. According to Milan Live, the Gunners are willing to offer defender Jakub Kiwior in a potential swap deal.
Chukwueze, who joined AC Milan from Villarreal last year for €21.1 million, has struggled to make a significant impact in Serie A. Despite scoring six goals and providing four assists in 54 appearances for Milan, he has often found himself on the bench. However, his potential remains undeniable, and Arsenal sees him as a valuable addition to their squad.
Bukayo Saka’s recent hamstring injury has left a significant gap in Arsenal’s attacking lineup. Saka, who has been a key player for the Gunners this season, is expected to be out for at least two months. This has prompted manager Mikel Arteta to explore options to maintain the team’s momentum during this crucial period.
Arsenal’s offer of Jakub Kiwior, who has struggled for game time at the Emirates, could be an attractive proposition for AC Milan. Kiwior, a 24-year-old defender, has made just eight Premier League appearances this season. The swap deal would provide Chukwueze with a fresh start and a chance to revive his career in the Premier League.
If the deal goes through, Chukwueze could provide Arsenal with the attacking depth they need to stay competitive in the title race. His pace, skill, and experience could make him a valuable asset for the Gunners, especially in the absence of Saka.
While the transfer is still speculative, Arsenal’s interest in Samuel Chukwueze highlights their intent to strengthen the squad and address the injury crisis.
