Crystal Palace’s Tyrick Mitchell is drawing attention from Europe’s elite football clubs.
CaughtOffside has reported that Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are gearing up for a fierce competition to secure the signature of Crystal Palace left-back Tyrick Mitchell. The 25-year-old defender is set to become a free agent next summer as he has not committed to a contract extension with Crystal Palace.
Mitchell has been a consistent performer for Crystal Palace, featuring in all 19 of their Premier League games this season and providing three assists. His impressive performances have caught the eye of several top European clubs, including Barcelona and Atlético Madrid.
Tottenham Hotspur, in particular, is keen on adding Mitchell to their squad as they seek to bolster their defensive options. The injury to Destiny Udogie has highlighted the need for additional depth in the left-back position, making Mitchell an attractive target for Spurs.
Arsenal, on the other hand, is also considering a move for Mitchell as they look to strengthen their defensive lineup. With Oleksandr Zinchenko and Riccardo Calafiori currently vying for the left-back spot, Mitchell could provide valuable competition and depth.
The race to sign Mitchell is heating up, and it will be interesting to see which club can secure his services. With his contract expiring in June 2025, both Arsenal and Tottenham will be hoping to convince the talented defender to join their ranks.
