Arsenal have agreed to a season-long loan deal with AFC Bournemouth for Brazilian goalkeeper Neto. The deal, which does not include any option or obligation to buy, is set to provide Arsenal with experienced backup for their current No.1, David Raya.

Neto, who joined Bournemouth from Barcelona in 2022, has been a reliable presence between the posts for the Cherries. However, with the recent arrival of Kepa Arrizabalaga on loan from Chelsea, Neto’s position as the first-choice goalkeeper has come under threat. This development has paved the way for his move to North London.

The 35-year-old shot-stopper is expected to travel to London tomorrow morning to complete his medical and finalize the move. This swift action underscores Arsenal’s urgency to secure a dependable backup following the departure of Aaron Ramsdale to Southampton in a Β£25 million deal.

Mark McAdam, a well-known sports journalist, reported that the deal is in its final stages, with only the medical and formalities left to be completed.
