Sterling, who has been struggling with his performance lately, is seen as a crucial player who can make a significant impact. Arteta’s comments came ahead of Arsenal’s upcoming match against West Ham, where he stressed, “We really need him”.
The injuries to players like Kai Havertz have put additional pressure on Sterling to deliver. Arteta hinted that midfielder Merino might be deployed as a striker again, but the focus remains on Sterling to provide the much-needed spark in Arsenal’s attack.
