Arsenal have confirmed that Kai Havertz suffered a hamstring injury during a training session in Dubai last week.

Arsenal have confirmed that forward Kai Havertz will miss the remainder of the season due to a severe hamstring injury sustained during a training session in Dubai. The club has announced that Havertz will undergo surgery in the coming days, with a subsequent recovery and rehabilitation program expected to extend into pre-season preparations for next season.

Havertz’s injury is a significant blow to Arsenal, as he has been a key player this season, scoring 15 goals in all competitions. The club’s statement read: “We can confirm that Kai Havertz has sustained a hamstring injury during a training session in Dubai last week. Subsequent assessments and specialist reviews have confirmed that the injury will require surgery, which will take place in the coming days. Soon after surgery, Kai will begin his recovery and rehabilitation programme, which is expected to extend into pre-season preparations for next season. Everyone at the club is fully focused on supporting Kai to ensure he is back to full fitness as soon as possible.”

The Gunners are now without a recognized center-forward for the final 14 games of the Premier League season, as well as their Champions League campaign. This injury comes at a challenging time for Arsenal, as they are already dealing with other key players sidelined due to injuries, including Gabriel Jesus with an ACL injury and Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli recovering from hamstring issues.

Arsenal’s manager Mikel Arteta will need to find alternative solutions to maintain the team’s attacking threat without Havertz. The club’s failure to sign a forward in the January transfer window has added to the pressure on Arteta to work with the current squad and potentially explore free agent options.

The club and fans are rallying behind Havertz, hoping for a swift and successful recovery. Havertz’s absence will undoubtedly be felt, but Arsenal will need to adapt and persevere to achieve their goals for the season.
