Barcelona’s hierarchy are ‘in love’ with Alexander Isak and has named the Newcastle sensation as their’main goal’ for the summer.
Arsenal has been dealt a significant blow as Barcelona has identified Alexander Isak, one of Arsenal’s top transfer targets, as their main objective for the summer transfer window. Isak, who has been in sensational form for Newcastle United, has caught the eye of several top clubs, including Arsenal.
Barcelona’s hierarchy is reportedly “in love” with the Swedish striker and views him as the perfect addition to their squad. Isak’s impressive goal-scoring record, with 19 goals in 28 games this season, has made him one of the most sought-after players in world football.

Arsenal had long been linked with Isak, but the striker’s hefty price tag of £150 million made a move in the January transfer window unrealistic. However, with Barcelona now stepping up their interest, Arsenal faces stiff competition for the forward’s signature.
According to El Chiringuito reporter Jose Alvarez, Barcelona has identified Newcastle striker Alexander Isak as their top target for the coming season. The Spanish club is planning for the summer, with several potential departures including Ronald Araujo, Frenkie de Jong, and Robert Lewandowski.
Alvarez highlighted that Barcelona’s sporting management and president Joan Laporta are highly impressed with Isak, who is seen as the “icing on the cake” for the squad. Valued at €75m (£62.5m), Isak has already been the subject of negotiations between Barcelona and Newcastle, with positive feedback from the player.
The Gunners will need to reassess their transfer strategy and potentially look for alternative targets if they are to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season. Barcelona’s pursuit of Isak highlights the challenges Arsenal will face in the transfer market.
