Former Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has reportedly advised his ex-teammate Eddie Nketiah to accept a move to Marseille. The French club has submitted an “improved” bid for the 25-year-old striker, and Aubameyang believes it’s a great opportunity for Nketiah to rejuvenate his career.

Sam Dean of The Telegraph share that the 35-year-old is attempting to convince his former teammate to leave the north London club and switch to the Ligue 1 side.
Nketiah, a product of Arsenal’s Hale End Academy, faced limited playing time last season. With Kai Havertz excelling in a central striking role, Nketiah found opportunities hard to come by. His disappointing campaign yielded just six goals, three of which came in a single game against Sheffield United.
Despite his recent form struggles, several clubs have expressed interest in Nketiah. Crystal Palace has been a long-term admirer, and there were talks of a swap deal involving England Euro 2024 star Marc Guehi. However, Marseille has emerged as the strong favorite to sign the young striker.
Aubameyang himself recently left Marseille to join Al Qadsiah in the Saudi Pro League. The departure of the former Arsenal captain has paved the way for Nketiah’s potential move to the French club.
Aubameyang’s advice to Nketiah could shape the young striker’s future. If he accepts the Marseille offer, Nketiah might find a fresh start in Ligue 1 under new manager Rober De Zerbi.
