Arsenal were comprehensively outplayed by Newcastle, who eased to a 2-0 victory on Wednesday night to book their spot in the Carabao Cup final.

Arsenal faced a tough night as they were comprehensively beaten 2-0 by Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg, resulting in a 4-0 aggregate victory for the Magpies.

Here are the player ratings for Arsenal:

David Raya (GK): 5.0/10
Raya had a night to forget, making a costly error that led to Newcastle’s second goal. He wasn’t tested much otherwise, but his mistake was pivotal.

Jurrien Timber (RB): 6/10
Timber struggled amid the intense atmosphere at St. James’ Park. He could not get into the final third effectively and struggled to deal with Newcastle’s attacks.

William Saliba (CB): 4/10
Saliba had a difficult night, struggling with Alexander Isak and conceding the second goal. He had one of his worst performances in a long time.

Gabriel was not as bad as his partner Saliba, but he still contributed to Arsenal’s sloppy performance. He made some decisive moves, but he could not stop Newcastle’s dominance.

Myles Lewis-Skelly (LB): 6/10
Lewis-Skelly was one of Arsenal’s best defenders, with some standout moments in possession. He stood up to the occasion despite the team’s overall struggles.

Martin Odegaard (CM): 6/10
Odegaard tried to bring some control to the midfield but couldn’t make a significant impact. He missed a gilt-edged chance just before Newcastle’s first goal.

Thomas Partey (CM): 6/10
Partey showed some drive in midfield but was unable to break down Newcastle’s defense. He was caught out on the edge of the box for Newcastle’s second goal.

Martinelli came off injured and didn’t have much impact before that. He missed a golden opportunity just before Newcastle’s first goal.

Havertz struggled to make an impact and was ineffective against Newcastle’s defense. He couldn’t break down the solid defensive line.

Leandro Trossard (LW): 6/10
Trossard had some moments but couldn’t break down Newcastle’s defense. His effort was smartly saved by Martin Dubravka after Arsenal fell behind.
