Riccardo Calafiori revealed what Jorginho told him to convince him to join Arsenal.

The Italian defender has officially joined Arsenal after extensive negotiations with his former club, Bologna. The 22-year-old left-back has revealed that his international teammate and current Arsenal colleague, Jorginho, played an important role in convincing him to join the Premier League side.

Calafiori stated the pivotal moment in an exclusive interview, saying,

“It is the best project for me for the next few years.” I met Jorginho one month ago, but I can see he’s a good guy. I was already convinced, but he forced me. He said: ‘Come, come, come! You will enjoy being here.”

The lengthy negotiations were challenging, but Calafiori expressed his excitement: “It feels amazing. It was tough until now, but finally, we’re here, and I cannot wait to train with the team and play for the fans. It’s been my dream since I was 12 or 13 because I can see the level of the league here, and the best players in the world, for me, play here.”
