Arsenal have been charged by the Football Association regarding the behaviour of their players during Saturday’s Premier League victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux.

Arsenal have been charged by the Football Association (FA) following their players’ conduct during the recent Premier League match against Wolverhampton Wanderers. The charge comes after a controversial red card shown to Arsenal defender Myles Lewis-Skelly in the 43rd minute of the game.

Referee Michael Oliver sent off Lewis-Skelly for a challenge on Wolves’ Matt Doherty, a decision that was upheld by VAR at the time. However, replays later showed that the challenge, while reckless, did not warrant a red card. Arsenal successfully appealed the decision, and Lewis-Skelly’s three-match suspension was overturned.

Despite the successful appeal, the FA has taken issue with the behavior of Arsenal’s players immediately following the red card. Several players surrounded the referee, expressing their strong disagreement with the decision. This conduct violated FA regulations regarding on-field behavior, leading to the charge.

Arsenal have until Monday, February 3rd, to respond to the charge. The club could face a fine if found guilty of improper conduct. This incident highlights the importance of maintaining discipline and respect for match officials, even in the heat of the moment.

The FA’s decision to charge Arsenal underscores their commitment to upholding standards of conduct in football. As the club prepares to respond to the charge, all eyes will be on how they handle this latest challenge.
