Arsenal are keen to bolster their attacking options ahead of the upcoming season. And have reportedly initiated talks with Napoli over a sensational summer move for Victor Osimhen.

Arsenal had initially expressed interest in the Nigerian forward who has impressed at Napoli. However, Osimhen’s hefty price tag stands as a roadblock as Arsenal deemed excessive.

The Nigeria international is expected to leave Naples this summer with Paris Saint-Germain leading the race to sign the striker since last month. However, PSG’s interest in the striker has cooled due to his high demand. While PSG are still interested in Osimhen, he is not currently viewed as a priority at Parc de Princes, prompting Arsenal to reignite their interest in the player.

The Ligue 1 giants were serious about signing the Nigerian striker, but they wanted to get a reduction on his €130 million release clause, so they made an offer of roughly €90 million but was rejected.

Corriere dello Sport report the while Napoli awaits PSG for an improved offer for their striker, they got a news from Arsenal who wants to enquire Osimhen’s situation, although at this stage Arsenal remain focused on chasing Sporting CP striker Gyokeres.
