Arsenal youngster Ethan Nwaneri has expressed his delight after making his return from injury during the Gunners’ 3-0 victory over Dinamo Zagreb in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night. The 17-year-old attacking midfielder had been sidelined for Arsenal’s previous five matches due to a muscle injury, but he made a strong comeback in the second half against Dinamo Zagreb.
Nwaneri replaced Raheem Sterling in the 58th minute and immediately made an impact. His performance off the bench was well-received by both fans and teammates, with many drawing comparisons to Arsenal’s first-choice right winger, Bukayo Saka. Nwaneri’s delivery into the box, in particular, was praised for its quality and precision.
