Arsenal have earned plaudits for striking an outstanding deal with the impending transfer of Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi in the summer.

Arsenal have received widespread praise for their impending acquisition of Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad, with many experts hailing the move as a masterstroke. Former Manchester City financial advisor Stefan Burson has also joined the chorus of approval, describing the deal as a “great move” for the Gunners.

The Gunners are set to trigger the midfielder’s €60 million release clause to secure his services for the upcoming season. Zubimendi, known for his exceptional defensive midfield skills, has been a long-term target for Arsenal. His ability to dictate play, break up opposition attacks, and contribute to the team’s build-up play has made him a highly sought-after player.

Burson, in an interview with Football Insider, praised Arsenal’s persistence in pursuing Zubimendi despite previous interest from other top clubs like Liverpool and Manchester City. He highlighted the player’s quality and the reasonable fee for a player of his caliber. “It’s a great deal for Arsenal at that price. It’s low risk given the quality.”

With midfielders Thomas Partey and Jorginho entering the final six months of their contracts, Arsenal’s acquisition of Zubimendi is viewed as a strategic move to ensure the team’s midfield remains robust and competitive. The addition of Zubimendi is expected to provide a solid foundation for Arsenal’s attacking players and enhance the team’s overall performance.
