Arsenal are making a bid that includes two of their current squad members and £25 million to acquire their main target, who is said to have agreed to personal terms and is ready to relocate to the Premier League.
Spanish outlet El Nacional has reported that Arsenal have made a substantial offer to Real Sociedad for Martin Zubimendi, valuing the talented midfielder at £25 million, along with players Takehiro Tomiyasu and Jakub Kiwior. This move comes as Arsenal looks to strengthen their midfield ahead of the 2025/26 season.
The Gunners are keen to secure Zubimendi’s services, especially with midfielders Thomas Partey and Jorginho entering the final six months of their contracts. Arsenal’s offer includes a cash payment and the transfer of two players who have fallen out of favor with manager Mikel Arteta.
While Real Sociedad has not yet responded to the offer, Arsenal remains optimistic about their chances of securing Zubimendi’s signature. The club sees him as a crucial addition to their squad, and his proven ability to dominate the midfield makes him an attractive target.
Meanwhile, the Daily Mail has claimed that Arsenal will sign Zubimendi at the end of the season. The Gunners are set to formally trigger his €60 million release clause to complete the summer transfer. Arsenal’s persistence in pursuing Zubimendi has paid off, and the deal is virtually complete.
Arsenal will face competition from other top clubs, including Liverpool, Manchester City, and Bayern Munich, but the Gunners are confident that they will capture Zubimendi’s services.
