Leandro Trossard was elated following Arsenal’s 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby, expressing his joy and relief at the crucial win.
“This is what we needed,” Trossard told TNT Sports. “We all knew what this meant to the fans. They were buzzing, and it was a great night for us. We want to win every game, especially these derby games. We were up for it today and managed to take three points.”
Trossard, who scored the match-winning goal, credited the entire team for their effort and resilience. “It is an amazing feeling, especially when it ends up being the winner as well,” he said. “I am just happy for everyone. We work so hard day in and day out. Now we need to look forward and build on it.”
The Belgian forward also reflected on the missed opportunities, suggesting that Arsenal could have scored more goals. “The hardest thing in football is to get the ball in the net. I think that we could have scored more today as well, but obviously, we are happy with the three points.”
