Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice shared candid remarks following the Gunners’ 2-1 win over Tottenham.

Declan Rice has lauded Arsenal’s performance following their 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby, suggesting that the Gunners could have easily scored ten goals in the match.

“We were unlucky we didn’t score ten tonight,” Rice told TNT Sports after the match. “From the first minute, the first 45 was pure domination, you can tell it was a derby. We are unlucky we didn’t score 10, that’s the feeling. We don’t need a message, playing Spurs, if you can’t get up for that then you shouldn’t be playing football. We could have had another five or six and that is a disappointing thing.”

Rice’s comments highlight the frustration felt by the Arsenal players, who created numerous chances but were unable to convert them all. Despite the missed opportunities, the victory moves Arsenal within four points of Premier League leaders Liverpool, keeping their title hopes alive.

The match saw Tottenham take an early lead through Heung-Min Son, but Arsenal responded with two goals in quick succession before the interval. The Gunners’ attacking play and intensity were praised by Rice, who believes that the result could have been even more emphatic.
