Arsenal secured a convincing 5-1 win over Crystal Palace in the London derby at Selhurst Park, narrowing the gap to three points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool.
Arsenal delivered a dominant performance at Selhurst Park, thrashing Crystal Palace 5-1 in a thrilling London derby. Gabriel Jesus was the star of the show, scoring twice in the first half to put Arsenal ahead. His first goal came just six minutes into the game, following a cross from Bukayo Saka. Ismaila Sarr equalized for Palace shortly after, but Jesus quickly restored Arsenal’s lead with a curling shot from a corner.
In the second half, Kai Havertz and Gabriel Martinelli added to the scoreline, making it 4-1. Declan Rice sealed the victory with a stunning finish in the final minutes. Palace’s goalkeeper Dean Henderson made several impressive saves, but it wasn’t enough to prevent the rout.
This result moves Arsenal within three points of Premier League leaders Liverpool who have two games in hand.
