Jamie Carragher does not believe Marcus Rashford would improve Arsenal as the Manchester United forward eyes his next club.
Former Liverpool defender, Jamie Carragher, has made a bold claim, stating that Marcus Rashford is not good enough for Arsenal. Speaking on Sky Bet’s Stick to Football podcast, Carragher expressed his doubts about Rashford’s ability to improve Arsenal’s squad, despite the forward’s desire for a new challenge.
Rashford, who has been linked with several top clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, and Barcelona, has struggled to maintain his form over the past 18 months. Carragher pointed out that Rashford has not been able to secure a consistent place in the Manchester United team and has even been omitted from the England squad.
“Rashford? No!” Carragher exclaimed when asked if Rashford would improve Arsenal. “He had a four-month spell under Erik ten Hag when United were on fire, but he’s not [Mohamed] Salah, [Sadio] Mane, or [Bukayo] Saka.”
Carragher believes it is time for Rashford to leave Manchester United but reckons he will have to lower his expectation in terms of the size of his next club.
